THE RUSTIC INN CREEKSIDE RESORT + SPA

AT THE RUSTIC INN AT JACKSON HOLE CREEKSIDE RESORT AND SPA, WAPITI ACTED AS TOTAL PROJECT MANAGER AND OWNERS’ REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE EXTENSIVE PROPERTY REDEVELOPMENT OF THIS LUXURY RESORT. THIS CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN THREE PHASES. ALL PHASES INCLUDED PLANNING, DESIGN, PERMITTING, AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT. PHASE I OF THE PROJECT INCLUDED REDEVELOPMENT OF THE EXISTING RV PARK, SITE AND UTILITY RECONSTRUCTION, STABILIZATION OF THE UNSTABLE SOILS THAT COVERED THE ENTIRE SITE, INSTALLATION OF 75 NEW PARK MODEL CABINS, AND REMODELING OF THE ORIGINAL CABINS. DURING THIS PRELIMINARY PHASE WE ALSO OVERSAW TOTAL RENOVATION OF THE LOBBY AREA, BAR AND RESTAURANT, INSTALLATION OF A FULL COMMERCIAL KITCHEN, ASSEMBLY AREAS, NEW SWIMMING POOL AND HOT TUB, SPA ROOMS, AND EXTENSIVE LANDSCAPING. THIS PORTION OF THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN A RECORD 110 DAYS. PHASE II OF THE PROJECT INCLUDED DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY FACILITY ON SITE, SUPPLEMENTARY SITE UTILITIES, AND ADDITIONAL GUEST CABINS. PHASE III TRANSFORMED TWO EXISTING BUILDINGS INTO HIGH-END ACCOMMODATIONS KNOWN AS THE SPA SUITES. THIS PORTION OF THE PROJECT INCLUDED A COMMERCIAL KITCHEN AND ASSEMBLY AREA ON THE MAIN FLOOR, GUEST ROOMS AND SUITES ON THE MAIN AND UPPER FLOORS, AND CREATION OF A PRIVATE SPA IN THE BASEMENT INCLUDING STEAM ROOM, SAUNA, AND MULTIPLE TREATMENT ROOMS.
Y2 CONSULTANTS' NATURAL RESOURCES TEAM WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN THE PROPERTY REDEVELOPMENT. PART OF THE PROJECT WAS TO RESTORE APPROXIMATELY 1,000 LINEAR FEET OF FLAT CREEK, WHERE HISTORIC DUMPING AND EXCESSIVE SEDIMENT DEPOSITION ADDED TO THE 303(D) IMPAIRED WATER LISTING OF THE CREEK. ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANCH MANAGEMENT COMPLETED THE STREAM MONITORING, GEOMORPHOLOGY AND STREAM RE-DESIGN. AS A TEAM, WE MANAGED THE PROJECT AND DESIGNED THE GRADING, EROSION CONTROL MEASURES AND ALL PERMITTING. Y2 DESIGNED AND PERMITTED A WETLAND WALK WITH THE ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO EXPAND THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES ON THE SITE. FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT WAS PROVIDED BY THE OWNER, WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, AND WYOMING WILDLIFE AND NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST.
CAPITAL REEF RESORT, TORREY, UTAH
AT CAPITAL REEF RESORT IN TORREY, UTAH, WAPITI ACTED AS TOTAL PROJECT MANAGER AND OWNERS’ REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE EXTENSIVE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE PARCEL INCLUDING DESIGN AND PERMITTING OF SEWER AND OTHER UTILITIES, CABINS, AND A NEW HOTEL BUILDING. WE RECENTLY COMPLETED THE SECOND PHASE OF DESIGNING AND PERMITTING THE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TEEPEES AND CONESTOGA WAGONS ON THE PARCEL. IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE UNDERWAY INCLUDE THE DESIGN OF A NEW RESTAURANT AND A REMODEL OF THE EXISTING FRONT LOBBY AND HOTEL ENTRY.
